The Chicago Flower & Garden Show Returns March 18
If you find yourself longing for warmer weather, consider heading over to the Chicago Flower & Garden Show to make that wish a reality. The show runs March 18-22 and will include plenty of in-bloom springtime plants, both as cut flower bouquets and potted bulbs, and installed in the life-sized landscapes that vendors build especially for the show. You can wander underneath vine-covered arbors, relax on a bench near a blooming azaleas, or walk down a shrub-lined path—all indoors in the show’s main hall.
The show also offers plenty of other fun: kids and grown-ups alike will be delighted by a walk through the live butterfly exhibit, while artsy types will enjoy the horticulture photography competition. If you enjoy entertaining, you can get some new ideas for your dining table centerpieces at the flower show’s “tablescapes” exhibit, and everyone will enjoy browsing the vendor stalls and picking out some beautiful blooms to bring home in a vase.
