Glide Across the Ice at the Maggie Daley Park Skating Ribbon
Chicago’s blustery-cold winters aren’t exactly synonymous with outdoor activities, but every winter, Maggie Daley Park provides an incentive to get outside with its Skating Ribbon. In lieu of a traditional oval-shaped rink, this seasonal outdoor skating rink carves a sinuous path through the park, with the Chicago skyline as the backdrop. As you glide along the path, you can stop to warm up over a cup of hot cocoa!
The Maggie Daley Park Skating Ribbon is open daily, but be sure to check the Zamboni times before stopping by, as the rink closes temporarily for grooming. Skate rentals are available for a fee, or you can bring your own skates and just hop right on the ice!
